Since September 10th, heavy rains have inundated much of Myanmar, impacting 12 out of the 14 states in the country. As of September 25th, reports indicate that more than 880,000 individuals have been affected by this catastrophic flooding, which has resulted in widespread inundation due to floodwaters, rising tides, and landslides.
In response to this dire situation, KAMAX has stepped up to provide essential support to affected communities. The company made a generous donation to the village of Thatu in the Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region, contributing 500,000 Myanmar Kyats and essential food supplies to help those in need. This timely intervention aims to alleviate the suffering of the flood-stricken population and support recovery efforts in the region.
Here are some snapshots documenting our Kamax Myanmar family personally delivering essential food supplies to the flood-affected people in Myittha, Kyaukse.
We stand in solidarity with those facing these difficult challenges, and the Kamax Myanmar family sends our heartfelt prayers and support, hoping that they overcome these hardships as quickly as possible.
